Clergy sexual abuse within the Pennsylvania Catholic Diocese has a long and troubling history, deeply impacting numerous lives. The issue gained national attention, with the 2018 grand jury report revealing widespread abuse and cover-ups. Many previously silenced survivors have finally found their voices through these revelations.

Bowe	John F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave by Philadelphia archdiocese 3/7/11 pending investigation for credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. Bradley	H. Cornell	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Bradley was removed from ministry in 2006, admitted to sexual misconduct with an adult woman in the early 1980s in Baltimore, and sexually abused two boys, age 15, between 1968 and 1988. He left the Order in 2007.
Bransfield	Michael J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Bransfield was named Wheeling-Charleston bishop 2005, resigned 9/13/18 after investigation into allegations of sexual harassment of adults and financial misdoings, and was ordered by Pope to make amends, can’t live in the diocese or celebrate liturgy publicly.
Brennan	Robert L.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Many complaints about inappropriate or suspicious behavior with more than 20 boys dating to 1988. Removed by the Archdiocese, placed on permanent leave, laicized, included on secret Archdiocese list, arrested, charged with lying to FBI, sentenced to five years probation.
Broughan	Leonard W.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Ordained for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Joined the Carmelite order in 1984. Accused of abuse of two youths. Archdiocese notified in 1993 and 1995. Assigned as a Carmelite in NJ and Niagara Falls, Ontario. Died in 1998.
Brennan	James J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Accused of abuse 8 years prior, removed from the priesthood, named in Philadelphia Grand Jury report, charged with attempted rape of 14-year-old boy, denied guilt, retried with Msgr. Lynn, who was convicted of child endangerment.
Brugger	Craig F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Brugger was accused of sexual abuse of a 15-year-old boy in 1974, and of receiving porn in 1989. The abuse allegedly occurred in Chester County, at the boy’s parents’ beach house in Brigantine and other NJ locations.
Brzyski	James J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of at least one boy in 1980s. Laicized 3/21/05, removed 1984, left active ministry 1985, and found living in Dallas, TX 1/14, always surrounded by boys.
Cadwallader	George B.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave pending investigation of credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors.
Cahill	Raymond J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Cahill’s name is included on a memo from 1994 regarding priests accused of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Castellani	Paul A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave by Philadelphia archdiocese 3/7/11 pending investigation for credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. Cannon	John A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of at least two youths in late 1950s and 1960s. His ministry was permanently restricted and he was living a life of prayer and penance.
Campbell	Hugh P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Msgr. Campbell was placed on leave after self-reporting sexual abuse of a minor, and accepted a supervised life of prayer and penance.
Catullo	Pasquale R.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of a female high school student in 1969, Catullo self-reported the incident and requested transfer, but the archdiocese continued to reassign him for 15 years.
Chambers	Gerard W.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Three brothers sued in 2004 alleging abuse by Chambers in 1954. Another 2004 suit alleged abuse of one youth. At least two other alleged victims known. Died 1974. During forty years as priest, was on “health leave” seven times.
Chapman	Michael A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on leave after allegations involving minors. Found unsuitable for ministry and permanently barred.
Chappell	Arthur B.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	In 1975-76, Chappell sexually abused a teenage seminary student. The Order counseled Chappell, but no written record of the complaint was made and no other actions were taken.
Collins	James J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Collins was placed on administrative leave without privileges after an allegation of sexual abuse 40 years prior. He was found not suitable for ministry and permanently removed.
Cochrane	Richard J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	In 1999, Cochrane assaulted a 14-year-old boy during a trip to the Poconos. In 2003, he pled no contest to statutory rape charge and was sentenced to 18-48 months in jail.
Close	John A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Monsignor Close was placed on leave by the archdiocese pending investigation for credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. He was found suitable for ministry in 2012 after the Review Board determined misconduct claims against him were unsubstantiated.
Conroy	Michael F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Deacon. Assigned to Sacred Heart in Royersford 6/94-10/02, when he was removed from ministry due to “known sexual misconduct involving a minor.” In 3/07 the archdiocese announced Conroy’s laicization.
Coonan	James J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abusing two boys, age 14 and 15, in 1966 or 1967. Retired 2/2.
Costigan	George A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Daniel Eliseus was accused in 1993 of sexually abusing a girl, ages 9-15, when he was a Christian Brother at West Catholic Boys High School in the Philadelphia archdiocese. He was removed from ministry in 1994.
Cudemo	Nicholas V.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of 11-16 young girls in the 1960s and ’70s. Placed on leave 1996, laicized 3/21/05, named in Grand Jury report 2/10/11, admitted in 2003 deposition that a priest “has rights”.
Dean	William E.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The archdiocese found Dean unsuitable for ministry due to an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor in the 1970s. He was moved to a place for priests in a prayer and penance program in 10/20.
Carpini	John J. Delli	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of two youths over a period of several years both before seminary and after ordination. Placed on leave in 1998 then returned to duty. Placed on leave again in 2004. Laicization announced in 2005.
DePaoli	Edward M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Nun was convicted of possession of child porn in 1986, placed on leave in 2002, and accused of abuse of a 14-year-old girl in 1970.
DiGregorio	Joseph L.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	A woman reported DiGregorio sexually abusing her in 1967 or 1968 at Our Lady of Loretto in Philadelphia when she was 16. The Review Board found the allegation credible but reversed itself in 2006.
Donofrio	Michael J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Donofrio was sued in 2003 for abuse of a 12-year-old boy. He was laicized in 2007.
Dolan	Richard D.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	A woman spoke before Archbishop Rigali and clergy about being raped by Dolan for 18 months, beginning when she was 14.
Dougherty	John C.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Name included on a secret 1994 memo from Wm. Lynn to Msgr. James Molloy (released 2/27/12) regarding priests in secret archives who were accused of sexual misconduct with a minor. That list also says no conclusive evidence. Died 10/05/03.
Dowling	Philip J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	In 2005, he admitted to inappropriately touching one girl and was placed on leave. He died in 1/22.
Dougherty	William J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of sexually abusing a female HS student, laicized after archdiocese accepted review board assessment that allegation was credible.
Durante	Ernest A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	A guidance counselor was named in a Philadelphia Grand Jury Report as having watched Fr. John Schmeer sexually abuse teenage boys.
Dunne	Peter J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of three teenage boys and one boy of unknown age. Placed on permanently restricted ministry with no faculties, died 4/17/10.
Durkin	Thomas J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of eight mostly pre-teen boys 1964-66. Left active ministry in 1968. Laicization announced in 2005.
Dux	James M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of many children, mostly boys. Retired in 1994, ministry restricted in 1995, permanently restricted in 2004.
Engelhardt	Charles F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Accused of orally sodomizing and molesting a 10-year-old boy in 1998 or ’99 at St. Jerome’s in Philly, along with another priest and a teacher. Refused plea agreement, filed new civil suit, found guilty, requested new trial, died in prison.
Feret	Francis S.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	The Philadelphia archdiocese placed 21 priests on administrative leave pending an investigation into credible allegations of sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. One man filed a suit.
Fernandes	Mark E.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave by Philadelphia archdiocese 3/7/11 pending investigation for credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. Last assignment was at St. Agnes Church in Sellersville, Buck
Flood	J. Michael	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Indicted	Flood was accused of sexual abuse of a youth at St. John Neumann High School in the late 1970s, but the suit was withdrawn due to inconsistencies in the plaintiff’s deposition.
Foley	Peter J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Foley was accused of sexually abusing a boy, age 16, in 1981. He admitted to giving the boy alcohol but denied abusing him.
Furmanski	Leonard A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Removed 2003. Accused of abuse of 3 minor males and 1 minor female. Ministry permanently restricted in 2004 and he was ordered to live a supervised life. Died 10/27/09 per Archdiocese website accessed 8/4/10.
Gaghan	Robert W.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	A man reported to the Norbertines that his uncle, Gaghan, fondled and performed oral sex on him when he was a youth. Gaghan taught at former Saint John Neumann High School in Philadelphia.
Gallagher	Joseph J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	A man told the archdiocese that Gallagher fondled him when he was 7 or 8 years old. The Review Board deemed both reports unsubstantiated in 2008, and Gallagher was removed from ministry in 2011.
Gallagher	Joseph P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of a 12-year-old boy in early-mid 1970s. Archdiocese notified in 1974. Sent for treatment and reassigned. Placed on leave in 2002; ministry permanently restricted in 2004. Living a supervised life. Civil suit filed 12/03.
Gana	Stanley M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse in 1970s-1980s, dismissed from archdiocese in 2002, lived with older teens and young men, laicized in 2006, named in new Grand jury report in 2/11.
Gallagher	Francis J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Arrested	Arrested in 1989 for solicitation of two young men, ages 18 and 20. Placed in treatment in 1990 and reassigned to parish in 1991.
Garcia	Armand D.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Guilty plea	Suspended 3/16/2018 after an allegation of the sexual abuse of a minor, and pled guilty in 10/2023 to corruption of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor. Sentencing scheduled for 1/2024.
Gaspar	Mark S.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Gaspar was placed on administrative leave pending investigation for credible allegations of sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors.
Gausch	Joseph P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	At least three lawsuits were filed against him in 2004 and one in 2006, and he was accused of abuse of numerous boys.
Gillespie	John E.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of five youths 1958-97, placed on leave in 2002, further restrictions added in 2004, ministry permanently restricted, died in 2008, named in new Grand Jury Report.
Giliberti	Francis A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of at least 4 teenage boys between 1960s and 1976. Ministry permanently restricted and he was living a supervised life.

Givey	David W.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Editor of Catholic Standard & Times, retired in 2006, was placed on leave by archdiocese after grand jury report, but denied allegations of sexual abuse.
Grumm	Thomas J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused in 2002 of abuse of a high school boy 1986-88. Placed on leave and sent for treatment. Ministry was permanently restricted in 2004 and he agreed to a supervised life.
Hagan	David I.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Bishop Ireton High School, Sacred Heart College, Philadelphia Inner City House, RICO class action civil suit, dismissed 11/06, appeal rejected by 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, death 5/1/05.
Harris	Steven	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The Philadelphia archdiocese placed 21 priests on administrative leave pending investigation for credible allegations of sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. One of those priests was found suitable for ministry and assigned to Tribunal and Chancery.
Haynes	Mark J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Arrested 10/14 for posting two photos of a girl younger than 14, one nude, one close-up of vaginal area on Instagram. Also found to have posted many other child porn images and lewd emails with the young girl.
Henry	James T.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	In 1987, a priest was accused of sexual misconduct with a 15-year-old girl. His ministry was permanently restricted in 2004.
Hermley	Robert J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Accused of abuse of boy in Philadelphia 1976-80, convicted of indecent assault of boys ages 13 and 14, retired in 2003, named in Philadelphia Grand Jury report.
Hoffman	Gerard J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Hoffman was placed on leave in 7/08 after allegation of sexual abuse of a minor. He agreed to live a supervised life of prayer and penance at a priest retirement home.
Howitz	Regis	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Howitz was accused along with Rev. Charles Newman of sexually abusing a teenage boy in the mid-1990s. Both men were ordered to live a life of prayer and penance.
Hoy	Daniel J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Priest placed on administrative leave by Philadelphia archdiocese pending investigation of allegations involving sexual abuse of minor. Died before investigation completed.
Hummell	John F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accusations received in 10/05 that Hummell abused a minor in the mid-1970s. Placed on leave in late 6/06 without faculties after diocesan investigation revealed a “patterns of behavior that would be considered sexual abuse.” Case referred to Vatican.
Iannarella	James M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Removed from active ministry in 1999 due to sexual misconduct with a 17-year-old girl.
Janowski	Stanley	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Taught at Archbishop Ryan High School in Philadelphia, was removed from public ministry in 1993, and twice accused of sexual abuse of minors, but the order’s investigation was inconclusive.
Joseph	William T.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of 5th grade boy in late 1970s. Diocese notified in 1998. Joseph allowed to retire. In 2004, his ministry was permanently restricted and he accepted a supervised life.
Jones	Richard G.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of two teenage boys. Name included on secret 1994 memo regarding priests in secret archives who were guilty of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Killian	William N.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	A woman reported that Killian sexually abused her as a child in the 1950s at St. Richard’s in South Philadelphia. Killian remained in his position and was named in a 2006 civil suit.
Kline	John	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Attorneys for one man filed suit against Kline, alleging that Kline abused him and his brother.
Kohler	Thomas M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Arrested	Accused of abuse of a male in the mid-1970s and taking nude photos of a 15-year-old boy in 1994. Laicization announced in 2005.
Kolenkiewicz	Louis J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Suspended 2/15 after discovery by D.A. that porn he had downloaded in 2005 included photos of minors. Removed for three years, cleared by archdiocese review board, to return 6/19/17.
Kornacki	Matthew J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Accused of possession of child pornography 2001-2003. Placed on leave in 2003 and sent for treatment. Indicted and pleaded guilty in 2004. Sentenced to 30 months in federal prison. His ministry was permanently restricted. Registered sex offender in PA.
Kuczynski	Edward P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Civil suit filed in 4/06. Alleged abuse of a boy 2002-05. Police had been notified in 2005 and reported to the Archdiocese that the complaint was unfounded.
Lawlor	David T.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Not Guilty	Assigned to Daylesford Abbey. Arrested in 2002, charged with accosting (inappropriately touching) a mentally disabled adult male in a YMCA whirlpool. Placed on leave. Denied the accusations. Found not guilty by a jury in 10/03.
Lanctot	Dexter A.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Named in 1994 memo regarding priests accused of sexual misconduct with minors but no conclusive evidence, chaplain of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, left priesthood in 1995, chaplain at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia beginning in 2007.
Leneweaver	Raymond O.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of at least 12 youths, laicized in 2005, and placed on 1994 secret list memo.
Liggio	John R.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Liggio was investigated by the DA’s office for allegedly abusing a student in 1997-1998. The DA’s office declined to file charges because of insufficient evidence.
Logrip	Joseph L.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Logrip was placed on administrative leave by Philadelphia archdiocese pending investigation of allegations of sexual abuse of minors. He was found unsuitable for ministry in 12/19.
Lucas	Christopher D.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Lucas was ordained for the Conventual Franciscans, but was accused of sexually abusing a minor prior to ordination. He was deemed unsuitable for ministry.
Macanga	Joseph E.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Left active priesthood in 1995 with a clean record, was arrested in Lumberton NJ 4/08 by the FBI, and sentenced to 57 months in federal prison.
Marinucci	Steven J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Placed on leave in 2/19 after an allegation of sexual abuse, police and archdiocese to investigate.
Martins	Nilo C.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Convicted	Brazilian pediatrician and order priest. Convicted 1985 of abuse of boy, age 12. Sent for treatment before conviction. Served only about 5 weeks of 23-46 month sentence. Immediately deported/returned to Brazil. Remained active priest there for for many years.
Mazzotta	George J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Mazzotta’s privileges were removed in 5/10 after allegations he sexually abused a minor more than 40 years prior. He was transferred to Villa St. Joseph in Darby, PA.
McCafferty	Joseph F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Wm. Lynn, chaplain at St. Mary’s Manor, was accused of sexual misconduct with minors in 1994.
McCarthy	Michael J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Cardinal O’Hara High School teacher accused of abuse of two male high school students, received a promotion despite the allegations, placed on leave in 1993 with restrictions, sent for treatment, laicized in 2006.
McCole	John F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	A man filed a civil suit in NC alleging that in the 1970s, McCole abused him on several occasions and forced him to participate in group oral sex while a third man watched.
McColgan	Charles P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Priest of the Diocese of Camden, accused of fondling a boy in a Philadelphia bathhouse in the 1970s. All claims dismissed as beyond the statute of limitations.
McCormick	Andrew D.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Indicted	One of 21 priests removed pending investigation of allegations of sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors. Arrested 7/26/12, charged with sexually assaulting a boy in 1997 at St. John Cantius parish.
McDonnell	James	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Died in 1995. Parish priest 1943-53, 1975-95. Navy Chaplain 1953-1975. Accused in a lawsuit settled in 4/20 in the low six figures of sexually abusing a boy, ages 13-14, in 1978-79, while assigned to Maternity B.V.M.

McKenzie	Joseph M.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of sexual abuse of two boys and two other males between 1966-81. Died in 1989.
McGuire	James E.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of three boys and one other person, placed on leave in 2002 with restrictions, laicized 3/24/06, name included on a secret 1994 memo.
McLoughlin	Richard J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of a boy and a 15-year-old girl, placed on leave in 1994 and 2002, and sentenced to supervised life of prayer and penance in 2004.
Meyers	John F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	A priest was placed on leave in late 2018 after an allegation of abuse. A survivor of abuse alerted a charter school in AZ.

Murray	John J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of two teenage girls in 1991, placed on leave with restricted faculties in 1992, and retired in 1993. Died in 3/06.
Mulholland	John H.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Mulholland was accused of abuse of six or more youths in the 1960s and 1970s. He continued to work until 2002 or so, when the Archdiocese deemed charges not credible but that he needed mental health help.
Murtha	Michael G.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	In 1995, Murtha was found to be in possession of S&M and violent child pornography. He was sent to St. John Vianney for treatment but allowed to remain an active priest.
Navit	Zachary	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The Philadelphia archdiocese placed 21 priests on administrative leave pending investigation of credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors.
Nawn	Henry	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of five boys in the 1960s. Retired in 1991.
Newman	Charles	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy, gave him $42K, and resigned from Bishop Ryan High School for financial mismanagement. Accuser died of a drug overdose in 2006, and Newman was sentenced to 3-6 years in prison.
O’Hara	Martin	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Accused of sexually abusing an altar boy, ages 9-11, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Paul	John P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Paul was accused of sexually abusing children in the early 1980s, starting when he was a high school sophomore in PA, and continuing into her college years. He was also accused of sexually abusing a boy, age 8, in 1967, while a seminarian.
Pechulis	Justin Paul	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Pechulis was accused of abusing an altar boy in the late 1970s, but the lawsuit was dismissed in 2010. The Cardinal dismissed the allegations, saying “That’s just how men behave with each other”.
Perzan	Stephen B.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The archdiocese received two allegations of abuse by Perzan in Philadelphia, one in 2004 about abuse in 1991, and another allegation in 2005 about abuse in 1994-1995. Perzan is not listed in the Official Catholic Directory. Perzan had three one-year parish assignments at the beginning of his career, and a two-year parish assignment in Puerto Rico in 2003. The review board deemed the two known allegations unsubstantiated.
Peterson	Leonard	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	One of 21 priests placed on administrative leave by the Philadelphia archdiocese pending investigation of credible allegations of sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors.
Pinkowski	Terrance	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused in 1992 civil suit of abusing a boy 1976-1981, beginning when the boy was a 14-year-old Archbishop Ryan High School student. The suit was dismissed because of the statute of limitations.
Podson	Theodore	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	After allegations of sexual abuse, he left Devon Prep in Philadelphia, was in Amarillo diocese by 1995, resigned in 2002, and was living in the Philippines with teenagers around him by 2003.
Polini	Anthony W.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by St. Norbert Abbey in WI, on its list 7/19/19. It notes one allegation. Died 9/23/77.
Povish	Robert	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	A priest was placed on administrative leave by the Philadelphia archdiocese pending investigation of credible allegations involving sexual abuse or inappropriate behavior with minors.
Powers	Richard T.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Powers’ name was included on a 1994 list of 35 priests suspected or accused of abuse of minors. He was permanently removed from active ministry in 4/13.
Reardon	John D.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The Philadelphia Archdiocese placed 21 priests on administrative leave on 3/7/11, pending investigation for allegations involving minors. On 5/4/12 the Archdiocese found the allegations against Reardon substantiated and that he was unsuitable for ministry.
Rogers	Francis P.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of abuse of numerous young boys, beginning just after his ordination and continuing for decades. Retired 1995. One man complained to Archdiocese in 1998 and Rogers was moved to a retirement home. Died 2005.
Rooney	Thomas	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	The Philadelphia archdiocese placed 21 priests on administrative leave pending investigation for inappropriate behavior with minors. One of them was found unsuitable for ministry.
Ryan	Robert F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Settled	Ryan was accused of sexually abusing an altar boy, age 14, in 1962-63, while assigned to Holy Cross in Springfield, PA.
Santry	William L.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	In 2005, a woman reported that Santry had sexually abused her in the late 1960s. Santry admitted to the abuse, and was laicized by the Vatican in 2006.
Sabadish	Joseph F.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Sued	Accused of abuse of a young brother and sister, but never charged, and named in 2006 civil suit.
Schaeflein	Charles J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Monsignor Schaefle was accused of abuse of a minor some time prior to 1990. He agreed to a supervised life of prayer and penance and died 8/10/13.

Wisniewski	Thomas J.	Archdiocese of Philadelphia PA	Accused	Accused of sexual abuse of a boy, placed on leave in 2002, restrictions increased in 2004, ministry permanently restricted, and living a supervised life.
Agosta	James J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Accused of sexually abusing a young altar boy decades prior, Agosta died in 1995 and his file was given to the state grand jury in 2016.
Baruch	John S.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Monsignor. Assigned to St. John Cantius in Bridesburg, St. Casimir’s in Mahanoy City, St. Stanislaus in Minderville, retired in 1984, died 3/12/1995.
Bender	Thomas J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Convicted	Bender was found in a car with a teen boy without pants, and was accused of repeated rape of the boy. He was convicted of abuse of a boy, and was sentenced to 10 years prison and lifetime probation.
Benestad	Thomas J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Monsignor Benestad was accused of abusing a boy, including forced oral copulation, beginning at age 9, in the early 1980s. He denied the allegations, which were deemed credible by law enforcement.
Margarito	Luis A. Bonilla	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	In 2008-09, Bonilla started a relationship with a 19-year-old girl. The relationship continued after her parents complained, and he was sent to treatment, where he left therapy and was living with the girl and her baby.
Coleman	Edward W.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Died 4/7/2007. Per the diocese, it received an allegation of child sex abuse against Coleman after his death.
Cofenas	Robert G.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Cofenas was named as accused publicly in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was treated at Paracletes in NM and St. John Vianney in Downington PA for abuse of a 17-year-old boy in 1986, and was laicized in 2005.
Connell	David	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Connell made a sexual advance on a male high school student, and beat him after he told the Carmelites. He had also been sexually abused in sixth grade by a basketball coach.
Derzack	Thomas A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Derzack was suspended after taking “disturbing” photos of high school wrestlers at a tournament. The police investigated, but no charges were filed because the boys were clothed.
Fink	Felix C.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Died in 1966. Allegation reported to diocese after his death. First named publicly as accused on the diocese’s 8/19/2018 list.
Flanagan	Bernard A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Flanagan was removed from his assignments as pastor of Annunciation, St. George, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Shenandoah and St. Mary Magdalen in Lost Creek, after credible allegations of sexual abuse of a minor dating back about 25 years.
Fromholzer	Francis J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	In 2002 a woman alleged sex abuse by Fromholzer, including on a trip to the Poconos in 1965 when she was a 13- to 14-year-old student. In 2004 a second woman sued, but no criminal prosecution was brought due to the statute of limitations.
Ford	Richard J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Ford sexually abused a 12-year-old student at Holy Guardian Angels Regional School in 1989. The diocese did not respond to the reports, and Ford died in 2005.
Forish	Stephen T	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	In early 1990s six parents complained about Forish “luring” their children. He was accused of soliciting sex from 22-year-old man in 1996, acquitted in 1998, sued in 2004 and died in a car accident in 2006.
Gaffney	James F.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A woman filed a suit in 2004 against Gaffney, claiming he sexually abused her for two years beginning in 1990, and was removed from active ministry in 2002. He was laicized in 2015 and named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Galko	Joseph D.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Galko was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He admitted to sex with an 18-year-old male parishioner and to incidents with other males over the years, pre- and post-seminary and ordination.
Ganster	Edward G.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Ganster was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, included on the diocese’s 8/19/2018 list of credibly accused, and was accused of abusing a 12-year-old boy in the summer of 1977. He died 7/3/2014.
Gillespie	Francis T.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	In 1988 a boy told the diocese that Gillespie had sexually abused him at St. Joseph’s in Girardville, about age 14. His younger brother told the diocese that Gillespie began sexually abusing him in 2002, when he was about age 10.
Gillis	David C.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Indicted	Gillis was accused of child sexual abuse in 2005. He was reinstated in 2018 after the D.A. determined the allegations were false.
Giuliani	Richard J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A woman claimed Giuliani forced her to perform sexual acts beginning when she was age 12 in 1971 and ending in 1975. She told Church authorities twice, and he reportedly left the priesthood in 1977.
Graff	Edward R.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Retired from Allentown PA to TX in 1992, was arrested in 2002, and died in jail awaiting trial. Mark Rozzi reported Graff raping him as a 13-year-old in 1984, after two friends had died by suicide.
Grembocki	Joseph L.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Grembocki, Rev. David A. Soderlund, and several other priests were accused of abusing a boy and his brother in the 1970s. Grembocki died in 6/16.
Halabura	Stephen J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Halabura was removed from the Allentown diocese’s list in 2019 after self-reporting that he sexually abused a minor in the early 1980s.
Houseknecht	Leo J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A woman alleged sexual abuse by Houseknecht when she was a student at Notre Dame High School in Bethlehem Township in the 1970s. Houseknecht was an active pastor when he died in 1990 at age 53.
Hulko	Joseph D.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Hulko was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was admitted to the Allentown diocese in 9/2003 that he sexually abused a girl at St. Francis Orphanage in Orwigsburg.
Jones	William E.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Monsignor Jones was placed on leave in 2002 after an allegation that he had sexually abused a minor more than 20 years previously. A civil suit was filed in 2004 but was dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
Kean	Joseph H.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Kean abused a boy over several years, starting when he was age 12. He acknowledged the abuse and to abusing the boy’s friend. A third man came forward in 2002 saying that Msgr. William Jones sexually abused him then introduced him to and “shared” him with Kean.
Kerestus	Thomas J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Kerestus was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was assessed by St. John Vianney Center in 2005 to be in the “moderate-high range” for “sexual re-offense”.
Kopec	Bronislaus J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	First named publicly as credibly accused on Allentown diocese’s 8/19/2018 list. Allegation reported after his death. Died 6/30/1968.
Kuzmann	Robert J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused on the diocese’s 8/19/2018 list. Removed in 2006, laicized in 2015. Assignments included St. Jerome’s in Tamaqua and Marian Catholic High School.
Lawrence	Michael S.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A man reported to the diocese that Lawrence molested him at age 12 during a tutoring session in 1982 at St. Catharine of Siena in Mount Penn. Lawrence was removed from parish work in 2002 and listed on the diocese’s 8/19/18 list of credibly accused.
Lonergan	Kevin	Diocese of Allentown PA	Convicted	In 2018, Lonergan was charged with felony corruption of minors and misdemeanor indecent assault after groping a 17-year-old girl and sending her nude photos of himself. He pleaded guilty in 2019 and was sentenced to 1 to 2 years in state prison.
Maslar	William J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	First named publicly as accused on the Allentown diocese’s 8/19/2018 list. Removed in 2002. Died in 2005.
Mathis	Joseph L.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Monsignor Mathis was accused of sexual abuse after his death.
McCandless	William T.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Guilty plea	McCandless was charged with three counts of child pornography offenses, lost his job as a counselor at DeSales University, and was sentenced to 37 months in prison and 15 years of supervised release.
McHale	James J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A woman filed a lawsuit against Monsignor McHale in 2009, alleging that he sexually abused her from 1964 until 1984. She told a priest in 1991 several times, but he took no action.
McNelis	Francis Joseph	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	McNelis was sent to Paracletes in NM for treatment, and re-assigned to St. Ignatius parish in Sinking Spring PA, where he remained until his removal in 3/2002. He died 3/24/2005.
Mihalak	James J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Charged	Charged in 1997 with fondling a 17-year-old male hitchhiker, placed on probation in 1998, and suspended from duties in 2004. Name included on diocese’s 8/19/2018 list.
Nave	Francis A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Monsignor Nave was suspended from ministry after accusations that he encouraged a 16-year-old boy to masturbate during online video ‘counseling’ sessions in 2012.
Patil	Gabriel M.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Patil is accused of sexually abusing an altar boy, age 8, in 1992, at Assumption of the BVM in Northampton, where he was a fill-in priest. The abuse allegedly occurred one time, in 1978-1980, at Bethlehem Catholic High School.
Potts	Robert J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Reinstated	Potts was accused of sexually abusing a minor in the late 1980s and early 1990s, but was returned to ministry after an investigation determined that he “did not commit the acts that were alleged”.
Puza	Paul G.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Puza was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and was assigned to parishes, high schools and Catholic Scouting. He admitted to sexual misconduct with a minor in 2002, and was laicized in 2010.
Rock	Joseph A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Assigned to parishes, Catholic Scouting and CYOs, resigned in 2001 after being accused of sexual abuse of two elderly residents, and admitted to feeling boys’ genitals. Accused of abuse of a boy in 1979-1981 and named in the 2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Rigney	Dennis A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	Rigney was director of Catholic Charities for over 36 years and held other prominent chancery positions. He was sued in 1/2004 for the alleged abuse of a 9-year-old girl and included in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Ruffenach	Charles J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	A man told the Allentown diocese that Ruffenach sexually and physically abused him beginning in about 1945, when the man was a first-grader.
Royer	Gerald J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Royer was transferred 8 times during his first 8 years of priesthood, took leave of absences twice, and left active ministry in 1964. He was laicized in 1965 and died in 2003.
Sabas	John Pascal	Diocese of Allentown PA	Settled	Sabas was accused of sexually abusing at least one 14-year-old boy during the summer of 1964. The case was settled out of court for $40,000 in 1991.
Sacks	Edward	Diocese of Allentown PA	Reinstated	Monsignor Sacks was suspended from his parish after an allegation of sexual abuse, but was reinstated after his accuser said the allegation was made in error.
Shields	William J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Sued	A civil suit was filed against the diocese in 2004 alleging that Shields abused a 12-year-old altar boy in 1972. Another man reported Shields sexually abused him 25-30 years prior.
Shigo	Stephen F.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Shigo, a parish priest, was accused of sexually abusing an altar boy in 1981. He died in 1991, at age 38.
Soderlund	David A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Convicted	Accused of abuse of three boys, ages 12-13, sent to St. John Vianney for treatment, made director of pastoral care at Good Samaritan Med Center in Pottsdale, removed 1989 for violating restrictions, arrested in 2009 on child pornography charges, convicted, sentenced 2-5 years’ prison, registered sex offender in WY.
Paul	Ann Marie	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	A woman reported that Paul groomed and abused her sexually while she was a student at Reading Central Catholic High School. No charges were filed.
Strassner	Henry E.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	“Very Rev.” Strassner was first named as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and was included on the Allentown diocese’s 8/19/2018 list of credibly accused. He admitted to kissing a 19-year-old male on the lips four times during a counseling session, and was accused of sexually assaulting several men.
Tucci	Bruno M.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Charged	Tucci was arrested in 2012 on charges that in 1981 he took a PA boy to Ocean City MD and molested him. He was included on the Allentown diocese’s 8/19/2018 list of credibly accused.
Ulincy	Andrew Aloysius	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	In 1981 a 17-year-old boy told police that Ulincy had sexually propositioned him. In 2010 a 25-year-old man told police that Ulincy exposed himself to him in the early 1990s.
Uhrig	A. Gregory	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Allentown priest for 20 years, educator, held diocesan positions, worked in parishes. Allegations of sexual abuse by Uhrig dating back about 30 years were deemed “not frivolous” and he was placed on leave.
Yarrosh	Ronald J.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Convicted	Arrested in 2004 on charges of possession of child pornography, sent to St. John Vianney Hospital for evaluation and treatment, and pleaded guilty to embezzlement. Dismissed from the priesthood in 2007 and named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Zmijewski	Joseph A.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Zmijewski was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. A woman told the diocese that Zmijewski sexually abused her in 1950 when she was a St. Peter’s in Reading 9th grader.
Zolondek	John G.	Diocese of Allentown PA	Accused	Parish assignments in Bridgeport, Emmaus, Willow Grove and Philadelphia, music director at Allentown Central Catholic High School, died in 1962.
Ackerson	Francis	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Monsignor. Named in the 3/1/16 PA Grand Jury Report as having engaged in sexually abusive acts with children.
Arsenault	David	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Bishop Bartchak put Arsenault and Rev. James Coveney on leave while the diocese reexamined allegations of abuse. The PA Attorney General’s 3/1/16 Grand Jury Report describes sexual assaults by Arsenault of a boy age 17-18, while assigned to St. Joseph’s in Renovo PA.
Bender	Joseph J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Accused of abuse of a boy “approximately 100 times” in the 1970s, Bender was removed from ministry in 1992 and named in 3 civil suits filed in 2003. The diocese paid $3.71M to settle claims by 21 people alleging abuse by 11 priests, including Bender.
Biller	Harold N.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Biller was reportedly described as having a sexual interest in children in complaints filed by attorney Richard Serbin in 2003-04. He retired in 2009 and resided in a home for the elderly and disabled.
Bodenschatz	Peter	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	A man reported to Bishop Adamec that Bodenschatz sexually abused him when he was an 8th grader and altar boy in 1940.
Bodziak	Charles F.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	A woman reported to the diocese that Bodziak had sexual intercourse with her repeatedly when she was 16 and in foster care. He was placed on leave pending investigation into allegations of child sex abuse 30 years prior. Two sisters sued Bodziak for sexual abuse when they were children. The suit was dismissed due to the 2-year statute of limitations, but was revived in 6/19.
Boyle	John J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Boyle abused 5 boys from 1958-82, including a 12-year-old boy in 1969. In 1973 he plied a 14-year-old boy with alcohol to the point of unconsciousness, then raped him for the first of numerous times over 2 years.
Brady	Martin Alfred	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Brady was accused of abuse of a 16-year-old boy in the late 1970s, when he was his teacher at Bishop Carroll High School in Ebensburg, MN. He died in 3/03 in the Wheeling WV diocese.
Bunn	James F.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	PA Attorney General’s Grand Jury found that Bunn “engaged in sexual intercourse” repeatedly with a boy, ages 10-13, in the 1960s. Bunn was kept in ministry, but was removed from public ministry in 2002.
Burkhardt	Harold J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	A man told the diocese that Monsignor Burkhardt sexually abused him when he was 9, and the diocese hired private detectives to investigate the victim. The diocese did not report the allegations to law enforcement.
Campbell	Andrew S.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	A woman filed a suit against Campbell and two other priests at St. Vincent University for allegedly abusing her 16-year-old son.
Carroll	Thomas M.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Carroll was named in PA A.G.’s 3/1/16 Grand Jury Report among priests of the Altoona-Johnstown diocese “alleged to have engaged in sexually abusive acts with children”. He admitted to “homosexual” behavior with a 17-year-old boy, and died 10/1/88.
Cherry	Athanasius C.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	A woman filed suit against Cherry and two other priests, the Benedictine Archabbey and the Altoona-Johnstown diocese, alleging that her son had been abused by all three priests at St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe.
Cingle	Martin A.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Per the PA A.G.’s 3/1/16 Grand Jury Report, Cingle fondled a sleeping 15-year-old altar boy who awoke and struck him. Cingle was sent for a psych evaluation, which yielded “no evidence of psychopathology”, and he was returned to ministry.
Coleman	Dennis E.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	In 1979, parents of a 10-year-old boy told Bishop Hogan of concerns about son’s behavior. Hogan met with boy, who said Coleman invited boys to sleep over in the rectory, would ‘hypnotize’ them, and sniff and then rub his penis against their feet.
Coveney	James B.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Coveney fondled the genitals of a 10-year-old boy and five 7th-grade boys in the 1980s, and was sent to treatment in 1996 and 2011.
Downey	Alvin T.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	In 2002, a woman filed a suit against Downey and two other priests, alleging that Downey sexually abused a minor in 1981. The woman’s suit was dismissed, and her son filed a separate suit against the same defendants.
Dusza	Donald W.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Pastor of Prince of Peace in North Cambria when placed on leave in 6/19 due to an allegation that he engaged in sexual misconduct in the 1980s with a “young person.”
Fabbri	Mario	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Fabbri anally raped a 9th-grade boy in 1950 at St. John Gaulbert parish in Johnstown PA, and in NY, Montreal and Quebec.
Figurelle	Elwood F.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Convicted	A priest was arrested in 1973 for indecent exposure and was federally charged with downloading child pornography from the Internet. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 15-21 months.
Gaborek	Joseph	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Gaborek molested and brutally sexually assaulted a 16-year-old boy in 1982. He was quietly sent to MI for “treatment” and assigned to another parish, but was later placed on permanent leave and charged with molesting a 14-year-old runaway.
Gergel	Stephen J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Pastor of St. Francis of Assisi in Johnstown, 11/69-7/89, then U.S. Navy Chaplain until he retired in 2005. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list as of 1/16/20. On leave pending diocese’s decision regarding the allegation(s).
Grattan	Bernard V.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Bishop Adamec suspended Grattan in 2002, after a civil suit was filed by 21 plaintiffs and 11 priests. In 2004 Grattan settled the lawsuit for $3.7M, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General concluded the bishops endangered the public.
Inman	Leonard	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Inman was named as one of 9 “predator” priests known to the diocese in lawsuits filed by 5 individuals against 2 other priests in 2/03. The investigation stopped after Hogan met with the Altoona Police Chief and Inman was sent for treatment.
Kelly	Robert Joseph	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Kelly sexually abused a boy in 1975-77, was assessed as “pedophilic” in 1993, and was reassigned to a State College parish despite the recommendation he avoid young people. He was identified as one of 9 “predator priests” known to the diocese.
Koharchik	George D.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Koharchik was removed from St Catherine of Siena in Mount Union and placed on leave after allegations of sexual misconduct with minors in the late 1970s. He admitted to molesting “close to” 12 children and was defrocked 1/22/16.
Kovach	William	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	In 1982, Kovach was accused of molesting a boy. He admitted the abuse to Bishop Hogan, but was kept in ministry with no enforced restrictions, even teaching children.
Lemmon	Thomas M.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Lemmon, an ordained deacon and religion teacher, fell/jumped to his death from a 4th floor balcony.
Little	Anthony M.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Monsignor Little was removed as pastor of St. Patrick in Newry in 3/13 pending investigation of an allegation that he sexually abused a boy in the 1990s.
Lieb	Germain	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	A minotr was sexually abused by Benedictine monks at Immaculate Conception in New Germany PA.
Luddy	Francis E.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Two brothers filed civil suits against Luddy, their godfather, in 1980s, and the diocese paid $3.71M to settle claims against several priests, including Luddy. The report harshly criticizes the diocese’s mishandling of the Luddy case.
Mabon	Thomas K.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Monsignor Mabon was suspended in 2002 after an allegation he abused an altar boy. He was allowed to resume ministry in 11/03, after the diocese paid $3.71M to settle claims by 21 people alleging abuse by 11 priests, including Mabon.
Mancini	Nicholas J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Retired. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list as of 1/16/20. On leave pending diocese’s decision regarding the allegation(s).
Maurizio	Joseph D	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sentenced	Homeland Security raided the rectory and charged the pastor with illicit sexual conduct in foreign places, possession of child porn and international money laundering. The pastor was sentenced to 16 years in prison and life probation.
Mazur	Robert C.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Monsignor. Retired, placed on leave in 3/19 during investigation of alleged “misconduct” with a minor, years prior.
McCaa	Francis B.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Monsignor McCaa abused boys, ages 8-15, at Holy Name parish and school in Edensburg, PA, from 1961-85. He was sent to treatment, then given hospital chaplaincy in WV with Hogan’s “glowing recommendation”.
McCamley	Martin D.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Settled	Bishop Hogan dismissed a report that McCamley fondled a 16-year-old boy in 1981, then allowed the priest to be Vice-Principal of Bishop McCort High. McCamley was suspended in 2003 and retired to Orlando FL in 2004.
Misurda	Matthew E.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Pastor of St. Clare of Assisi parish when placed on leave in 9/19 due to allegations of “sexual misconduct involving minors” in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Included on diocese’s list as of 1/16/20, remained on leave pending diocese’s decision.
Myers	Regis	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	A man told the diocese in 1997 that Myers had abused him when he was a postulate. The diocese did not contact law enforcement, instead trying to put the man in contact with Myers.
Neetz	Christian	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Neetz raped a child in the 1950s, and the victim was abused by other members of the T.O.R. Franciscans years later.
O’Friel	Daniel F.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	The PA Attorney General’s Grand Jury Report said O’Friel sexually abused two male students at Bishop Carroll High School in the 1970s. One victim sought counseling from accused priest Rev. Robert Kelly, who pushed the boy’s head into his lap.
Palko	John J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Palko sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl in the 1980s. The diocese kept Palko in ministry and used intimidation tactics against the victim.
Petracca	Anthony J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Charged	Petracca worked short-term as an assistant in a number of parishes, and as a hospital chaplain and campus minister. He was placed on leave 7/5/2017 due to an allegation of misconduct with a minor in the mid-1980s.
Ream	Gerard J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	In 1966, Ream took special interest in a female student at Bishop Carroll High School and harassed her when she fell in love with a boy at school.
Rizzo	David R.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Administrator of St. Augustine’s in Dysart and St. Monica’s in Chest Springs, Rizzo was placed on leave in 9/2019 due to an allegation of sexual misconduct with a minor.
Riforgiato	Leonard	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Seminarian named publicly as accused on the Jesuits Northeast Province list 1/15/2019. Taught for 27 years at Penn State’s Shenango Valley campus and reportedly “focused on youth activities”.
Rosensteel	William A.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	In 2006, Rosensteel was accused of sexual abuse of a boy at St. Patrick’s in Johnstown. In 2007, a man told diocese he and 8 other boys were abused by Rosensteel at St. Patrick’s.
Skupien	James F.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Skupien was principal of Bishop Guilfoyle High in 1981 when police found him naked in his car with a youth. He was kept in ministry and forced a boy into oral sex when he was a boy.
Strittmatter	Joseph J.	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	In 1991, the diocese learned that Strittmatter molested a girl, age 6 to her teens, 1961-69. In 2002, he admitted to past abuse of an 8-year-old girl, saying “I was trying to learn about sex”.
Waldruff	Raymond	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Sued	Named in Altoona-Johnstown 3/16 GJ report, abused boy 1964-67 in Altoona diocese and monastery in Hollidaysburg, KY, sent to MA for treatment 1976, dismissed by order 1983, died 3/25/85. On Wheeling-Charleston diocese’s list in late 2018.
Wolf	Benedict	Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown PA	Accused	Wolf molested a 17-year-old girl in McConnellsburg PA in 1979. He was added to the Cincinnati archdiocese’s list of those against whom there are substantiated allegations in 1975, and to the Owensboro diocese’s list in 5/22.
Allison	Michael P.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	A parish priest, educator, and campus minister was named publicly as accused by the Diocese of Erie in 1/2024.
Amy	Michael J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018 included name of priest who admitted to molesting several boys and involvement with male prostitutes while a priest. Priest laicized at some point, living in Florida.
Anderson	Stephen A.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 4/5/2019. Noted to be under investigation. Died 3/29/2013.
Balko	Raymond J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Raymond Balko was named as credibly accused in 2018 by the Saint Vincent Archabbey Benedictines in Latrobe PA. He died in 1985.
Barletta	Michael G.	Diocese of Erie PA	Sued	Three men told Bishop Trautman they were molested by Barletta (“Barts”) when he was a Cathedral Prep teacher in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Barletta was moved to St. Patrick/St. Hedwig’s parish and given work at the diocesan Catholic Charities office and as chaplain of Holy Family Carmelite Monastery.
Bolton	Donald	Diocese of Erie PA	Convicted	Parents complained to the D.A. that Bolton had molested their daughter for two years. Bolton was charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors, received three years probation, and agreed to enter a treatment program.
Bower	Robert F.	Diocese of Erie PA	Arrested	Arrested in 1999 on charges of downloading internet child pornography, resigned from priesthood in 2002, and filed a slander suit against the Diocese, Bishop Trautman and retired Bishop Murphy in 2003. The complaint was dismissed by a court.
Chludzinski	Dennis C.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on the Erie diocese’s list 4/6/2018. Admitted in 1991 to sexual contact with an 18-year-old male student at Mercyhurst High School and sex with a 14-year-old boy over nine months in 1984.
Ciufoli	Bonaventure M.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on the Erie Diocese’s list of priests, lay employees and volunteers accused of sexually abusing minors.
Cooper	Donald J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Named in the PA Grand Jury Report for inappropriate sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy, while assigned to St. Charles in New Bethlehem. Cooper agreed to retire.
Cray	Kevin E.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Cray’s name was added to the diocese’s list of credibly accused priests, lay employees and volunteers on 5/18/2018. He died on 1/31/1999.
Daly	G. Matthew	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Parish priest, diocesan vice-chancellor, headmaster of Bradford Central Christian High School 1960-1962,  assistant headmaster of Cathedral Prep 1962-1971, director of home for retired priests. Died 10/09/1982. Name included on the diocese’s list updated 7/18/2018. Abuse reported after his death.
Dobrowolski	David V.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018 of priests, lay employees and volunteers accused of sexually abusing minors. Died 12/28/1985. Per the diocese, allegations were made after Dobrowolski’s death.
Furjanic	Gregory P.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Chicago-based Croatian Franciscan Friar, accused of sexual abuse in the 1970s and 1980s. Laicized in 2005, tried to obtain priestly credentials in FL and AL, and was included on the Archdiocese of Mobile’s list in 2018.
Gawronski	Chester J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Sued	In 2002, a man said Gawronski molested him in the late 1970s when he was an 11-year-old altar boy. In 1984, the diocese knew of alleged abuse of a 13-year-old boy 1976-1977, and sent Gawronski to treatment.
Gloekler	Herbert G.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	A woman said that Gloekler sexually abused her in the 1950s, and another woman said that she and another girl helped him in the rectory and he fondled them and looked down their dresses. Several other women said they had witnessed his abuse.
Hagerty	John B.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor. Parish priest, educator. Named publicly as accused by the Diocese of Erie on its list in 1/2024. “Under investigation.” Hagerty died in 4/2013.
Hannon	Robert E.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on Erie diocese’s list 4/6/2018 and in the 8-14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Transferred to Hawaii 6/1979, died in Hawaii 1/16/2006, age 79.
Healy	Patrick J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	Healy was named credibly accused by the diocese in 2018 and was sued for sexually abusing a girl over 100 times for several years. The suit was settled in 2020.
Hopkins	James F.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Ordained in Buffalo NY, pastored in Sharon, PA, Corry, PA, and Titusville, PA, and was elevated to Monsignor in 1949. A woman told Bishop Trautman in 1993 that Hopkins abused her in the St. Titus rectory in 1945.
Hudock	Barry M.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Hudock’s name was added to the Diocese of Erie’s list of credibly accused on 5/18/2018. He was laicized in 2005, and resigned in 6/2018 from his job as publisher at Liturgical Press at St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, MN.
Jerge	Joseph W.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on the Erie Diocese’s list 4/6/2018. Sent to St. Luke’s Institute in MD in 1989 for treatment of allegations of sexual abuse of young boys.
Jeselnick	Stephen E.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on the Erie diocese’s list 4/6/2018, included in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and mentioned in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General Report. Jeselnick was accused of sexually abusing three boys in the late 1970s.
Jungquist	Edward W.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Worked in Erie, Grove City, Oil City and Titusville parishes, then moved to Tucson, AZ, and is no longer indexed in the Official Catholic Directory.
Kaza	Charles A.	Diocese of Erie PA	Reinstated	Monsignor Kaza was removed from active ministry in 19 but was later reinstated.
Kelley	Thomas C.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	A parish priest was accused of inappropriate sexual contact with at least five males, ages 18-25, while working at St. Mark’s Seminary and North American College in Rome, Italy. He died in 2005.
Kerins	Sean P.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Suspended from public ministry and contact with minors after accused of inappropriately texting a student at Kennedy Catholic High School, where he was chaplain. Law enforcement was investigating. Name included on Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/18.
Ketcham	Gary L.	Diocese of Erie PA	Guilty plea	First named publicly as accused on 4/6/2018, then included in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, he was sent to treatment in MN, MD, then on “Health Leave” at St. Patrick’s/St. Hedwig Cluster in Erie.
Kondzielski	Thaddeus T.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Name included on Erie diocese’s list 4/6/2018, included in PA Grand Jury Report 8/14/2018, retired 4/29/2013, not allowed to function as a priest.
Kraus	Conrad L.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 4/5/2019. Noted to be under investigation. Died 5/13/2009. The diocese’s list updated 2/1/2023 shows the allegation to be credible.
Krebs	Gerard H.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	At least three known alleged victims, including a former student of Venango Christian High, have come forward alleging Krebs molested them. Krebs was sent to St. Luke’s Institute in MD in 2002 and retired in 1/2004.
Kucan	Jerome	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Croatian Franciscan. Name included on the Erie Diocese’s list 4/6/2018, Harrisburg Diocese’s list 8/1/2018, PA Grand Jury Report 8/14/2018, and Chicago Archdiocese’s list 10/2022 of credibly accused priests.
Lechner	Thomas M.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	First named publicly as accused by the Erie diocese in an update to their list on 10/30/2018. The brief note also stated that Lechner had been laicized.
Lazar	Fidelis G.	Diocese of Erie PA	Sued	Lazar’s name was added to the Erie diocese’s list of credibly accused priests, lay employees and volunteers on 5/18/2018. He died on 3/18/2018 in CT and was included in a PA Grand Jury Report on 8/14/2018.
Lorei	Louis H.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor Lorei was pastor of Our Lady of Peace in Erie from 1981-1985 and died in 1986. A report was received in 2009 that he sexually abused an 11- to 13-year-old altar boy.
Luzzi	Salvatore P.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	Named on Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018, forbidden to function as a priest, accused of abuse of eight male victims, one of whom died by suicide, while assigned to St. Mark’s Seminary.
Lynch	Richard D.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Lynch was accused of sexual and physical abuse of a student in 1978-1979. He died in 2000.
Martin	Daniel J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	A former priest of the Erie diocese accused Martin of molesting him beginning when he was age 16 in 1985-1989. Martin died in 2006, and his estate settled in 2021 in the low six figures.
Jr.	H. Desmond McGee,	Diocese of Erie PA	Sued	McGee was suspended from his position as headmaster of Bradford Central Christian High School in 1997 after a man filed suit alleging that McGee sexually abused him on at least three occasions when he was a 14- to 17-year-old student.
Meisinger	Joseph F.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor. Name included on the Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018 of priests, lay employees and volunteers accused of sexually abusing minors. Died 3/6/1979.
Muroski	Leon T.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Named on the Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018, Muroski was accused of sexual misconduct in the early 1990s while a Spiritual Director at St. Mark’s Seminary. He died in 2023.
Murphy	Edmundus (James)	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	In 1964, Murphy sexually abused a male student at Sacred Heart High School in Girard. He died in 2014, and was included on the Divine Word Missionaries Chicago Province list of credibly accused.
Murray	John L.	Diocese of Erie PA	Convicted	Murray was accused of abusing a 12-year-old boy in 1959, while assigned to St. Paul’s in Erie, and was sentenced to one year probation, faculties removed, and sent to two treatment facilities. He died in 3/2018.
Nealen	Giles L.	Diocese of Erie PA	Sued	In 2002, a woman told the Diocese that Giles had molested three men as boys, and in 2004, her 11-year-old son was molested by Nealen.
Ochs	M. Stella	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list 1/2/2023. Shown to be under investigation. Died in 10/1988.
Olowin	Jan C.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor Olowin was named as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report and retired to Sun City AZ in 10/2016 due to past allegation. He is forbidden to function as a priest.
Pawlaczyk	Andrew W.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Pawlaczyk’s name was added to the Diocese’s list 5/18/2018. A man told the Diocese that Pawlaczyk sexually abused him when he was a student at Erie Prep and Pawlaczyk was a teacher.
Piatkowski	John A.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	Name included on Erie diocese’s list released 4/6/2018, and in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Accused of sexually abusing a boy, ages 8-12, during 1949-1953 at Assumption of the BVM in Sykesville.
Poulson	David	Diocese of Erie PA	Convicted	Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua in Cambridge Springs and Bradford Central Christian High teacher, arrested for sexually abusing minors, pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 2-14 years in prison, laicized, and settled with man alleging abuse as a child 2002-2010.
Presley	William F.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	The Diocese of Erie knew of allegations against Presley as early as 1982. Three people came forward in 2002 alleging sex abuse by Presley, 1963-1974, one at age 13, another a University of Notre Dame student.

Schanz	John P.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Schanz was removed from active ministry in 2002 after at least 7 alleged victims. A former life guard said he witnessed abuse of a boy at Camp Notre Dame in 1974. The Diocese received a report of abuse in 1974 of a Holy Cross altar boy.

Skeabeck	Carmel	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Sister of St. Joseph of Northwestern PA Charlotte Skeabeck was named publicly as credibly accused in 10/2018 of sexually abusing a student numerous times in the late 1950s.
Slocum	Samuel B.	Diocese of Erie PA	Convicted	In 2011 Slocum was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old boy. He admitted to police to inappropriate relationships with boys, and was found guilty of concealment of the whereabouts of a child and corruption of minors.
Smith	Thomas E.	Diocese of Erie PA	Settled	Bishop Murphy knew of an allegation of abuse in 1984 of a 17-year-old boy. He was admitted to abuse of at least 15 boys, as young as age 7, and was suspended in 2002 after report of abuse 1968-1970 of a boy, ages 10-12.
Snyderwine	Thomas	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Monsignor Snyderwine was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was a faculty member at DuBois Central Catholic and Erie Prep, a parish priest, pastor, and a member of the Presbyteral Council.
Taylor	Daniel J.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Taylor was ordained for the Erie diocese and assigned to the Tucson diocese. He was placed on leave by Tucson in 1999 after it learned of allegations of abuse occurring during his time in Erie.
Tome	John (Jack)	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Tome is accused of repeatedly sexually abusing 6 siblings, ages 8-13, while in seminary and calling himself a Deacon. He failed out of seminary and is listed on the Diocese of Erie’s list updated in 1/2023.
Vallimont	Patrick B.	Diocese of Erie PA	Accused	Vallimont was hospitalized for severe depression in 1976, and laicized in 1977 after disclosing a brief sexual ‘relationship’ with a 13-year-old girl.
Bealko	Leonard J.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Sued	Bealko was accused of sexually abusing an altar boy many times over a four-year period until 1978, beginning when the boy was age 12. He was charged with firing a gun at his 22-year-old housemate in 1988, and was dismissed by several churches.
Bienia	Michael	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	The diocese named Bienia as credibly accused in August 18, 2005. He died in 2005.
Bonafed	Joseph E.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	The pastor of Holy Family in West Newton and St Edward’s in Herminie was suspended due to an allegation of sexual abuse 28 years prior. A canonical investigation deemed the allegation unsubstantiated.
Clark	James W.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Clark was suspended after the diocese received an allegation of abuse against him. He was included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused in 8/18.
Dellamalva	Dennis F.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Settled	Denny Dellamava was accused of abusing two teen brothers and their friend, and was sent to Spencer Abbey in MA for treatment. He was sued by the two families and settled for $375K in 1986, and died of complications from AIDS in 1994.
Flohr	Gregory	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	A priest was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report of sex abuse of an altar boy and parish school student, beginning when the boy was age 10 or 11.
Gruber	Mark F. X.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Professor Gruber was banned from ministry and ordered to live in monastery after pornography was found on his work computer. He sued the college for defamation but dropped the suit.
Guth	Charles B.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Monsignor Guth was first named publicly as accused in the 08/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. A man said that Guth sexually abused him at around age 7 in West Newton.
Kawecki	Andrew M.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Guilty plea	Kawecki was placed on leave in 5/19 pending investigation of an allegation that he sexually abused a minor fifteen years prior. He was arrested in 8/20 and sentenced to 2 1/2 to 5 years in state prison.
Lesniak	Francis M.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Settled	A boy, age 13, claimed Lesniak fondled him at a sleepover for altar boys and settled for $5K and 90 counseling sessions. A boy was abused by Lesiak over 4 years, beginning when he was 7 or 8. He said Lesiak forced him to perform oral sex and then became an altar boy and abused him.
Lukac	Raymond	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, convicted of abuse of multiple teenage girls while assigned to the Greensburg diocese in the 1950s, impregnated a 17-year-old girl in 1956, and was removed from a high school in Hammond IN in 1961.
Marcinek	Henry J.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Settled	A man said Marcinek abused him from about 1972 until the early 1980s, including oral copulation, at the rectory, Marsinek’s cabin and on trips. He settled for $10K and 90 counseling sessions.
Markiewicz	Stanley	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Markiewicz was named publicly as credibly accused in 2002 of sexually abusing minors at St. Vincent’s Preparatory School.
Matusak	Michael W.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Monsignor Matusak was suspended in 18/18 due to allegations of sexual abuse. A second allegation surfaced in 3/19 of stalking and harassing a girl.
Moslener	Robert	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Moslener was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He was included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused in 8/18, and was pastor of several parishes from 1992-96.
Nyeste	John J.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	A man alleged sexual abuse by Nyeste when he was an 11-year-old altar boy at St. Emory’s in Connellsville, PA. Nyeste worked in PA, NY and OH and died 5/19/87.
Oris	Fabian G.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	A woman told the diocese that Oris sexually abused her beninning and older sister when they were young. He would have each girl stay over in the rectory, sharing his bed. Another woman came forward in 2014 to say that Oris kissed her on the mouth when she was 10 or 11 years old.
Payer	Emil	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Payer was accused of abusing multiple minors and vulnerable adults in the 1980s. He denied the allegations and pleaded guilty to theft.
Pierce	George R.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Settled	A woman told the diocese that Pierce sexually abused her at ages 12-20, beginning in 1968 at St. Gertrude’s in Aultman. She sued in 1997 and received a $30K settlement.
Premoshis	Gregory F.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Settled	Premoshis was accused of sexually abusing a 16- to 17-year-old male Geibel High School student 1980-82. He was removed from job as president of the high school, retired, and permanently barred from public ministry.

Tamilowski	Joseph A.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Sued	A man told the diocese that Tamilowski touched him inappropriately in the 1960s, and that he told the office manager for the diocese about the abuse many years prior to 2002, but that the manager told him to “not rock the boat”.
Ubinger	Herman F.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Ubinger was credibly accused of sexual abuse of multiple minors from 1966-1971. He died in 1997.
Trott	Roger J.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Convicted	Criminally charged in 1987 for abusing 12 young boys, sentenced to 5 years probation, with treatment as a condition of probation, and a $10K fine. Accused of abusing a 10-year-old altar boy in 1973, including repeated rape.
Weber	Charles A.	Diocese of Greensburg PA	Accused	Weber was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report, and was included on the diocese’s 8/18 list of credibly accused. He died in 2000.

Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Convicted	Allen was accused of abusing multiple young boys in the 1970s-1990s, was arrested in 1992 for soliciting sex from an undercover police officer, and resigned in 2002 after confronted with credible allegations of abusing boy, ages 14-18, starting about 1979.
Bach	Francis	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	Bach was removed from his ministry with young adults in 1967, went on leave for 6 months in 1976, was reassigned, and retired at age 54 in 1994. He admitted to raping and sexually abusing 14 children, ages 14-16.

Logue	Robert	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	A 13-year-old boy and his father accused Logue of inappropriate communications with a child, and Logue “admitted his tendencies”.
Long	Arthur J.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	Long was listed on several lists for inappropriate sexual behavior, including soliciting a child for sex and having sex with an adult that began when the adult was a child. He was removed from ministry and sent to Guesthouse then St. Luke’s for treatment.
Luck	David H.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	A deacon was accused of abusing his sons while serving at St. Paul’s in Annville, PA. He was removed from ministry in 1990 and later worked for York County Human Services as a caseworker.

Marsico	Guy D.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	A man told the diocese that he had been abused by Marsico in 1982 at age 13. The diocese removed Marsico from active ministry without privileges and paid for man’s therapy and medication, but denied him any type of settlement.

Mercado	Ibarra C.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	Mercado was accused of french kissing a 12-year-old girl at the Lebanon V.A. Hospital in the early 1990s.

Sempko	Walter A.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Sued	Accused, along with Rev. Raymond Dougherty, in a lawsuit filed in 7/19 by a 67- year-old man of repeatedly raping him as an altar boy at St. Joseph’s in the early 1960s. Sempko died 10/2/17, age 94.

Vaughn	Frederick J.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	The diocese acknowledged in 2016 that it had received multiple allegations against Vaughn of sexual abuse of young girls. He was named on the diocese’s list released 8/1/18 and included in the PA Grand Jury Report 8/14/18.
Zangari	Salvatore V.	Diocese of Harrisburg PA	Accused	Parish priest, Army chaplain, admitted to fathering a child with a former high school student, was removed from faculty, and was included in the PA Grand Jury Report.

Adams	Alvin J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	After an allegation of sexual abuse, he was removed from his parish assignment and position as chaplain at Bishop Canevin High and was permanently restricted to supervised ministry as a convent chaplain.
Adams	James R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A man told a priest that Adams sexually assaulted him in the 1970s when he was 8 to 12 years old. Adams was sent to treatment at St. Michael’s Community in St. Louis, MO, but left before the program.
Armstrong	James L.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 1990, the diocese knew that Armstrong was giving homeless Pittsburgh boys drugs, alcohol and money in exchange for sex. He was placed on leave in 1991 and returned to ministry in 2007.
Bauer	John M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Bauer was first named publicly in the PA Grand Jury report released 8/14/2018. In 10/2013 a man told the diocese that Bauer and another priest, Rev. Michael Romero, would give him and other boys alcohol and talk with them about masturbation.
Bevilacqua	Anthony Joseph	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	A woman claimed that Cardinal Thomas Keating groped her chest behind a partition in the school lunchroom and also claimed abuse by Revs. Lawrence O’Connell and Edward Huff.
Binder	Jerome	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Binder was assigned to high schools in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and faced trial in Australia on child abuse allegations. The Pittsburgh diocese sought information on other possible victims, including Binder.
Bosco	Anthony G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Bishop of Greensburg PA, accused of inappropriately touching a nursing student in the late 1960s, died in 2/2013.
Brueckner	John E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A man reported to the Greensburg diocese that a priest sexually abused him as a boy at St. Joseph’s in New Kensington sometime between 1947 and 1951.
Burchianti	Leo R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Publicly accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, included on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused, admitted in 1980 to all allegations except those “concerning abuse”, removed from ministry in 1/2003, died in 2013 and claim settled in 4/2020 in the low five figures.
Castelucci	Robert J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Castelucci was accused of abuse of boys ages 13-17 in the 1970s, and of abusing a 17-year-old boy in Ohio in 1999. He was named in the PA Grand Jury report released 8/14/18, and on the diocese’s list of credibly accused in 1/29/18.
Cautela	Mauro J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Cautela was placed on leave in 8/2005 after a young man told the diocese that he was sexually abused by him. He was named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report and was included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused.
Cedolia	Robert J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Acquitted	Cedolia was placed on leave in 8/19 after an allegation was made that he sexually abused an 8-year-old boy in 1998. He was found not guilty at trial in 11/2022.
Chatt	Charles J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Chatt admitted to sexually abusing a 7th or 8th grade boy in 1970 or 1971 and to having sexual relationships with “five other youngsters” in the 1970s. Numerous people reported abuse by Chatt as boys, including a 6-year-old girl. One, possibly two civil suits filed in 2004. Named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Chess	John R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A priest was named publicly as accused of abuse sometime after the release of the 2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He died in 2011.
Cipolla	Anthony J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	A woman told police Cipolla abused her sons, ages 9 and 12, and then in 1988 she accused him of abusing a 13- to 17-year-old boy. Cipolla was suspended and sent to St. Luke’s for evaluation, but refused recommended treatment at St. John Vianney Center.
Coyle	Paul R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Monsignor. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 2019. Died in 1991. Coyle was accused after his death.
Crowley	John David	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 1992 a mother complained to the diocese that Crowley sexually abused her and her twin daughters. In 2002 the diocese resigned Crowley and in 2004 the Vatican confirmed he was to remain in retirement with no public ministry.
Costello	Bernard B.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Costello was removed from ministry in 2018 after allegations of sexual abuse were deemed credible by the diocesan review board.
Dacal	Rosendo F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Ordained a permanent deacon in 2011, suspended from assignments in Etna and Allegheny County Jail, and pleaded guilty to sending and soliciting obscene images from an undercover police officer.
Demblowski	Charles E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Ordained for the Diocese of Pittsburgh, retired to WV in 1985, and named publicly as accused in late 2018.
Demsher	Ferdinand B.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	At least four alleged victims have come forward, including a man who said Demsher molested him at age 13-14 during 1975-1976 at St. Mary of the Assumption. A second person said Demsher fondled him when he was 10 to 11 years old.
Diskin	Myles Eric	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Head of diocesan Worship Office when put on leave in 4/2002. Accused in three lawsuits and withdrew from ministry in 3/2003. A man said he was abused by Diskin in the mid-1970s at St. Paul’s in Butler, and a woman told the D.A. Diskin molested her as a child in the mid-1970s in Butler.
Doherty	John F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Parish priest, diocesan Scouting Director, named publicly as credibly accused by the Pittsburgh diocese in 2019.
Doody	Jerome T.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Indicted	Doody was named publicly as accused by the Pittsburgh diocese on its list, and was included on the Santa Fe archdiocese’s list 5/19/2021.
Dolan	Jason R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Dolan was placed on leave in 2005 and later pleaded guilty to possession of internet child pornography.
Dorsch	Richard J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Accused of abuse of a 13-year-old boy, sentenced to 11 1/2 – 23 months jail, released on parole after one week, returned to St. Luke’s. A man reported abuse at St. Coleman’s at ages 10-12 in 2016 and was named in the 8/28/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Downs	James	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Downs was placed on leave after an allegation of sexual abuse against him. He denied the allegation.
Dzermejko	David F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Dzermejko was removed from the priesthood in 2009 after an allegation that he sexually abused a boy between 1979-1984. He was indicted on a federal charge of child porn possession in 2013 and sentenced to 3 years in prison followed by 12 years probation.
Esposito	Ralph J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Priest accused of abuse in Pittsburgh, Little Rock, and Little Rock, AR. $1.25M settlement with 32 plaintiffs.
Feltz	Joseph E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Placed on leave in 11/2018 after an allegation of sexual abuse, and died 9/26/2021.
Fitzgerald	John P.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	After allegations of sexual abuse, Pastor Fitzgerald was removed without privileges from his parish and allowed to retire. He was named in a grand jury report and is still living at St. John Vianney Manor.
Donabedian	Henry J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list in 2019. Parish priest. Chaplain 1949-1957 at the Pennsylvania Training Center (later called the Youth Development Center) at Canonsburg. Died in 1966.
Ganter	Joseph M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A man told the diocese that Ganter sexually abused him when he was a 10-year-old altar boy. A Justice of the Peace investigated the allegations in 1945, and Ganter was included on the diocese’s list of accused.
Gildea	Cornelius E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Indicted	Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 2022. Allegation(s) received after his death. Died 5/12/94.
Geinzer	John A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	First named publicly as accused in the PA Grand Jury report released 8/14/2018, and added to Baltimore list 9/2018. Remains a ‘priest in good standing’ per the diocese, and has never engaged in sexual behavior inconsistent with priestly celibacy.
Ginder	Richard	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Charles Richard Ginder was a diocesan censor and writer who received 10 years’ probation in 1969 for child pornograpy. He was convicted of abuse of two youths in 1978 and was sentenced to up to four years in prison.
Girdis	Joseph C.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy, who resided at the Holy Family Institute in Emsworth.
Graham	James G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	The Diocese received several allegations of sexual abuse against Graham, including one by the female partner of the alleged victim, who had recently died of a drug overdose. Graham was permanently removed from ministry and died in 2015.
Hartman	Bernard Joseph	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Joined Marianists in 1958; worked many years in Australia; taught 1986-97 at North Catholic High in Pittsburgh; was accused of sexual abuse in 1999; apologized to woman in 1999; returned to Australia 9/13; convicted of sustained sexual abuse of a boy and 2 girls as young as age 8.
Hildebrand	William Charles	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Hildebrand was accused in 2014 of abusing students at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, where he worked 1951-61. The Pittsburgh diocese apologized in writing to Diocese and students, and included Hildebrand on the Marianists list of accused.
Hoehl	John	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Placed on leave in 1986 due to allegations, sent to Southdown in Canada for treatment, reassigned, and laicized. 7-8 men filed civil suits in 2001 and 2003-2004 alleging abuse by Hoehl, and 32 alleged victims settled with the diocese in 2007.
Huber	John R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A man told the diocese that he was sexually abused by Huber as a boy. He said Huber performed oral sex on him then gave him $20.00.
Huff	Edward G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	In 1992 two families complained to the Diocese that Huff had molested their sons. Within two months several more families complained of abuse 1987-1991 and Huff pleaded guilty in 1994 to charges of improperly touching and providing alcohol to several youths.
Justi	Marvin	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 1969 a woman said Justi was a patient who became aroused as she bathed him and sent suggestive letters and notes. In 1982 he undressed and refused to dress when she tried to start the session.
Joyce	Edward G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Monsignor Joyce was accused of inappropriately touching a boy 1966-1968. He died in 1969, and his name is included on the diocese’s list of accused.
Karabin	Joseph D.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Karabin was accused of abuse in 1980, 1985, 1991, and 2004. He was named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report and was included in the diocese’s 9/2007 $1.25M settlement with 32 plaintiffs alleging abuse by 17 priests.
Kaczmarczyk	Bernard J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Kaczmarczyk was accused of sexually abusing three boys, ages 17, 14 and 11. The abuse occurred in the rectory of Holy Name of Mary in Donora PA and at Kaczmarczyk’s home in FL. Kaczmarczyk was convicted of mail fraud and sentenced to 27 months in prison. He spent $495,000 on a FL home and other luxuries. The other priest stated that Kaczmarczyk began a sexual “relationship” with him when he was 15 years old.
Kebe	Matthew F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Born in Austria, educated in Slovenia, ordained in 1911, pastored Sacred Heart in McKeesport 1916-1934, St. Mary’s 1934-1966.
Keegan	John J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Keegan professed vows in 1945 and worked in Dayton OH, Hamilton OH, Pittsburgh PA and Brooklyn NY. Two brothers came forward in 2014 with allegations of abuse by Keegan as a minor at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh 1957-1961.
Kiefer	William J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 2014 the diocese received a report that at least one boy was abused by Kiefer at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School between 1956-1962.
Kline	James H.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 2014, a man came forward to allege abuse by a Marianist brother. The Pittsburgh Diocese sought information on other possible victims, including at least one against Kline.
Koryak	Francis S.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 2019. Koryak died in 1990.
Krawczyk	Henry R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Krawczyk was reprimanded in 1986 and 1992 for providing alcohol to minors and making sexual advances toward minors. In 2003 a 19-year-old University of Pittsburgh football player fell to his death from the attic of Krawczyk’s church.
Kryston	Edward L.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Kryston was first named publicly as accused in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused in 2019. He was sent to St. John Vianney Manor to live, near a high school, in 2/28/2002, and still there in 11/2011.
Kumar	Anujit	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Missionary priest from India kissed a female altar server several times, using his tongue, and tried to recruit her for the convent.
Kurutz	George A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A 47-year-old woman told the diocese that Kurutz molested her and her sister in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Lang	Hugh J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Charges dropped	Lang was retired in 2006 and placed on leave after allegation that he sexually abused an 11-year-old altar boy in 2001. He was found guilty at trial and sentenced to 9 to 23 months and 29 days in prison, but his conviction was overturned and he got a new trial.
Leech	George T.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	First named publicly as accused in a lawsuit, per news in 11/2018. Included in 10/2022 on the diocese’s list of accused. Died in 2006.
Lelonis	Richard M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Lelonis was suspended from ministry in 2018 after two men told the diocese he abused them as children. He denied the allegations and was assigned to the diocesan Tribunal from 1995.
Leonard	Albert J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Leonard was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He took leave of absence in 11/1993 and went on to work as a licensed counselor.
Lewandowski	Casimir F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Lewandowski was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and was included on the diocese’s list of accused.
Lukasik	John J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Lukasik was accused of fondling an 11-year-old boy at St. Mary Czestochowa Church in McKeesport.
Maliszewski	Edward C.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Maliszewski was accused of sexually abusing a boy beginning in the early 1960s and continuing through age 15. The boy was a resident of the New Castle Youth Development Center at age 15.
Maloney	John P.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Maloney was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was also listed on the diocese’s list of credibly accused and was placed on leave in 1/2004 and his faculties were removed in 9/2004.
May	Julius F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 2014, allegations of abuse were made against 7 Marianist brothers, including May, who was at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh 1960-1970. The head of the Marianist Order apologized to the Diocese and students.
McCashin	William J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Accused of molesting an 8-year-old boy in 1965. Named in a 2007 settlement with 32 plaintiffs alleging abuse by 17 priests.
McGee	Dominic E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 2004, a man told the Pittsburgh diocese that McGee molested him and his younger brother.
McKenna	Thomas J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	McKenna was named publicly as accused in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, included in 2019 on the diocese’s list of credibly accused, and withdrew from active ministry in 2004. He was diagnosed with ephebophilia in 1999.
Mcllvane	Donald W.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A 43-year-old man told the diocese that McIlvane orally copulated him, then gave him $5.00. The diocese gave the man $5,000, which was not meant to be a settlement related to the claim.
McMahon	Albert	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	When he was about 11 years old, Albert McMahon molested a girl at St. Pamphilus. In 2014, a 63-year-old man reported that McMahon would get on top of him, always with an erection.
McMahon	John H.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A woman reported to the diocese that McMahon molested her between 1969-1976 while she was a student at Resurrection Parish school. She also remembered seeing photos of naked boys and girls on McMahon’s desk.
Meder	Francis	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 2014, four individuals came forward to allege abuse by Meder, a Marianist priest who worked at North Catholic High School in Pittsburgh. The Diocese said it knew nothing of the allegations until 2014.

Miller	John C.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A deacon at St. Teresa of Avila in Ross was suspended in 2018 after an allegation of “inappropriate contact of a minor” in 2016.
Minster	Cosmas	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	In 1942, Minster sexually abused a child while assigned to a weekend mission at a Mt. Pleasant parish.
Mravintz	Ralph A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Mravintz, a Marianist brother, was accused of molesting a male student, age 15, but was not removed from his classroom because he was a member of a religious order. The Diocese denied responsibility until notified by an alumnus.
Mueller	Joseph A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Mueller was first named accused publicly in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was on administrative leave from 1988-2003, when he withdrew from active ministry, and died in 2010.
Mueller	Richard J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list in 2019. Noted to have been removed from ministry in 2007. Twin brother of accused priest Joseph Mueller.
Muszynski	Anthony J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Ordained in 1917. Pastor for 42 years of St. Ignatius in Carnegie.Died in 1962. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list in 2022. Allegation(s) noted to have been received after his death.
Myers	Kenneth E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Myers’ name was quietly added to the diocese’s list of credibly accused in 2019 and was categorized as “credible and substantiated” in 2021. He was removed from active ministry in response to inquiries from parishioners.
O’Brien	John J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Former Christian Brother John O’Brien was accused of abusing a boy in the mid-1960s. He died in 2004.
O’Connell	Lawrence A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	A woman filed suit in 2004 alleging O’Connell sexually abused her as a child at St. Gabriel’s in Whitehall. Three more women filed suit later in 2004, and O’Connell was named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
O’Donnell	Thomas M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Complaints from parents in 1988 about O’Donnell’s behavior with their sons, about age 12. Bishop Wuerl relieved O’Donnell of his parish assignment in 2000, and the school principal reported complaints from families in 2005. A 13-year-old boy was allegedly abused by a man in 1976 who was age 12.
O’Brien	William R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the Pittsburgh diocese on its list in 2019. Died in 1992.
III	William P. O’Malley	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, allegedly sexually abused multiple minors in the 1980s and 1990s. Died in 2008.
Paone	Ernest C.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Paone was first named publicly as accused in 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was moved to L.A. archdiocese, then San Diego diocese, and resigned from ministry in 2002 after another allegation of abuse in 1962-1963 of PA boy.
Parme	George J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	In 2004, a man filed a lawsuit against the Diocese and Bishop, alleging abuse by Parme in 1954 when he was a 13-year-old altar boy at St. Aloysius in Wilmerding. Parme died in 2002 at age 78.
Pilarski	Peter R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	In 1966-1967, Pilarski abused a minor, ages 15-16, while assigned to Resurrection parish.
Pindel	Paul E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Pindel was accused of abusing several boys, including an 8th or 9th grader at St. William’s school, an 8th grader at St. William’s school about 1965, a 6- to 9-year-old CCD student in 1980-1984, and a 13- to 15-year-old boy 1957-1960.
Pucci	Francis	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Charged	Pucci was charged with indecent assault and conspiracy, but the charges were dropped on SOL. At least three men alleged that Pucci abused them as boys at a Coraopolis parish. Pucci was part of a ring of priests who abused children and made child pornography.
Rebel	John W.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	The parents of an alleged victim said their son told them years later about the abuse, and that Rebel would drive him home after CCD and that he would sob and beg them not to make him go to CCD.
Ricards	Edward A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the Diocese of Pittsburgh on its list in 2019. Died in 1958.
Reschick	Joseph W.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Reschick was suspended in 10/2018 after a report to police of sex abuse of a minor in the mid-1980s.
Rhoden	Raymond R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	In 2002 the diocese received a report that Rhoden had sexually abused a 16- to 17-year-old boy. Rhoden was placed on leave and sent to St. Luke Institute for an evaluation, and withdrew from ministry 7/5/2002 and retired to Sarasota, FL.
Roemele	Carl M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Roemele sexually abused four young boys while assigned to St. William’s, and was laicized in 1978. Roemele molested three altar boys and a boy in the 6th grade. A woman accused Roemele of abusing a 10-year-old boy in 1969 at St. Joseph’s and a camp.
Romero	Michael C.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Romero was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and in 2012 a woman told the Diocese that Romero had sexually abused her son and given him alcohol when he was an altar boy at Immaculate Conception.
Romero	Oswald E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Romero was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. A 53-year-old man told the diocese that Romero sexually abused him when he was 13-14 in 1966 or 1967.
Scharf	David E.F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Scharf was first named as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was admitted to St. Luke’s Institute for treatment in 11/2003, and was removed from ministry in 2016.
Scherer	Richard	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Scherer was first named as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. A woman told the diocese in 8/1991 that Scherer sexually abused her when they were students at St. Anne’s in Castle Shannon.
Schultz	Raymond T.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Monsignor Schultz was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. A man told the diocese that he was sexually abused by Schultz in around 1978, when he was an altar boy and a student at the parish school.
Siler	Francis A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	In 1972, Siler was transferred to another parish due to “sexual problems with adolescents”. In 1974, Bishop Leonard wrote to the House of Affirmation.
Silvers	Rudolph M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Silvers was publicly named as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and denied the allegations. He withdrew from active ministry in 2002, and was included on the Pittsburgh diocese’s list of credibly accused.
Smith	Edward M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	A woman sued the diocese and both current and former bishops in 2004 alleging that Smith had abused her when she went to him for counseling.
Smith	Lawrence R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	Smith was accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy at the Holy Family Institute.
Smith	Thomas E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Known as the “singing and dancing priest”, he was accused of sexually abusing a 15- or 16-year-old student in 1967. He died at age 90.
Somma	James E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	In 1988 a woman said she was abused as a child by Somma. In 2002 a man filed a civil suit against Somma, and in 2018 a grand jury reported on four potential male victims.
Sorensen	Bartley A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	A St. John Fisher employee saw child porn on Sorensen’s rectory computer and told the Diocese. Sorensen was arrested and pleaded guilty to a federal indictment and sentenced to eight years in prison.
Spangenberg	Robert E.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Spangenberg was accused of abusing at least two minors in Pittsburgh, and was moved to FL in 1989 due to the allegations. A man reported that he had many “sexual encounters” with Spangenberg when he was a 15- to 16-year-old runaway and involved in prostitution.
Spisak	Paul G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Spisak was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report, and on the diocese’s list of credibly accused. He was sent to St. Luke’s in MD for evaluation in 11/1998, kept in ministry, and arrested in 4/2006 for secretly videotaping a man using a urinal.
Stancelewski	Vincent	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Ordained in 1918. Monsignor. Founding pastor of SS Philip and James, where he remained for 42 years. Died in 1964. Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list in 2019.
Stebler	Lawrence F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Stebler was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was accused of sexually abusing an 8- to 9-year-old boy over two to three years in the 1960s.
Stewart	James L.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Arrested	Named publicly as accused by the Diocese on its list in 2019. Died in 1952.
Suran	Andrew J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	A woman filed suit in 2004 alleging that Suran fondled and kissed her as an 8-year-old. A second woman filed suit in 2004 alleging abuse by Suran when she was 6.
Thomas	Charles A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Monsignor Thomas was accused of sexually abusing a boy at St. Hugh in Carmichaels, PA, beginning in 1958. A nun at the parish helped Thomas with some of the abuse.
Terdine	Richard Gerard	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Terdine was accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy who worked part time at St. Peter’s in Keesport rectory. He was sent to St. Luke Institute in MD for evaluation and returned to restricted ministry as a hospital chaplain.
Tisak	Daniel J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Byzantine Catholic priest, on leave from the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Pittsburgh, abused a 12-year-old child.
Trichtinger	David	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	The diocese announced in 12/2018 that Trichtinger had sexually abused a student in the mid-1980s.
Unger	John M.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	A 10-year-old boy was accused of being sexually abused by a priest at Sacred Heart Elementary School. The abuse allegedly occurred three times 1969-1971, with several other attempts.
	Veri	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	In 1997 a high school senior accused Sr. Bernardine of sexually abusing her, but the lawsuit was dismissed due to the statute of limitations.
Wellinger	John W.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Wellinger was sent to St. Luke’s in MD in 1986 for issues including substance abuse. He was also accused of sexually abusing an 11- or 12-year-old altar boy in 1981 or 1982, and was included in a $1.25M settlement with 32 plaintiffs alleging abuse by 17 priests.
Wichmanowski	Joseph S.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Wichmanowski was accused of sexually abusing a girl for a year, beginning when she was age 12. He was named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report.
Wilt	George A.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Wilt made unwanted advances on a woman in 2000, and the DRE at St. Bernard expressed concerns in 2003. A woman filed suit in 2004 alleging that Wilt molested her in 1961, when she was 13.
Wilson	Thomas R.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Placed on leave in 4/2019 after admitting to inappropriate contact with a minor while a seminarian. Added to the diocese’s list of those credibly accused of child sexual abuse who are living and have been removed from ministry.
Wolk	Robert G.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Wolk sexually abused two PA brothers, starting when they were 12-year-old altar boys, and continuing over six years. He was placed on leave, sent to St. Luke’s in MD for treatment, and pleaded guilty in 1990. A 14- to 17-year-old boy alleges Wolk and Rev. Leo Burchianti abused him beginning in 1968.
Yockey	William B.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	A 25-year-old man told the diocese that Yockey sexually assaulted him when he was 16 and that the same thing happened to his friend in 1983, as an 18-year-old high schooler.
Zabowski	Theodore P.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Settled	Zabowski was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. He was placed on leave in 1995, admitted having boys in his bed for “companionship” and possible inappropriate touching, and withdrew from ministry in 2002.
Zirwas	George	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Sued	A PA Grand Jury found Rev. Francis Pucci, Robert Wolk and Richard Zula guilty of child sex abuse. They shared victims and used sadism while raping them, and gave big gold crosses to signal them as targets for other predators.
Zolnierzak	Stanislaus J.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Accused	Also known as Stanley. Named publicly as accused on the Diocese’s list in 2019. Pastor of St. Hilary in Washington PA 1958-1986. Died in 1998.
Zula	Richard F.	Diocese of Pittsburgh PA	Convicted	Zula was accused of violent sexual activity in the rectory with a minor, and with three other lay men. He was arrested and sentenced to 2-5 years in prison for two counts involving the two brothers.
Altavilla	Philip A.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Charges Dropped	Altavilla was arrested for molesting a 13-year-old altar girl in 112/15/98 after a midnight mass at St. Patrick’s. He admitted to giving her alcohol, touching her feet, and moving his hands up her thigh towards her vagina.
Angelo	Girard F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	A man told the diocese that he was sexually abused by Angelo at age 14 in the early 1960s. Angelo denied the allegations.
Balczeniuk	Mark G.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Balczeniuk was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report, and was removed from ministry and sent to St. John Vianney Center for treatment. He admitted touching the genitals of young boys at Camp St. Andrew in the mid-1970s.
Bonner	Joseph P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	A 47-year-old man alleged sex abuse by Bonner at age 14-16. The diocese agreed to pay for 20 counseling sessions for the accuser, who died in 2007.
Boylan	Martin M.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	A male 18-year-old reported sex abuse at age 8 by Boylan to the state police, who closed the case in 8/17 because the young man refused to testify. Boylan was subsequently appointed pastor of St. Rita’s in Gouldsboro in 1997.
Brague	Robert J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	In 1988 Bishop Timlin learned that Brague was involved in a sexual relationship with a girl. Brague denied initially but confessed when the girl got pregnant.
Brennan	Francis T	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	A 12-year-old altar boy told a priest at his school that Brennan sexually abused him in 1961. A 65-year-old man told the diocese that Brennan molested him at age 15 or 16.
Bucolo	Joseph	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	Bucolo was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. In 1/71 a 10-year-old boy told the diocese that Bucolo molested him, and in 9/10 a 64-year-old man alleged abuse by Bucolo as an 8-year-old altar boy.
Burns	Leo A.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 8/19/18. Died in 1988.
Burns	Gerald J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	Monsignor Burns was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He denied sexually abusing an altar boy for years in the 1950s at St. John’s in Honesdale.
Capparelli	Robert	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 8/19/18. Died in 1994.
Caparelli	Robert N.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Convicted	Many allegations. Caparelli admitted to state police in 1974 to molesting children, was made pastor in Milford in 1981, arrested in 1991 for 1985 abuse of a boy, pleaded guilty, was sentenced to 2 1/2 to 5 years in prison, had AIDS, and died in prison 12/24/94.
Clay	Christopher R.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Clay was removed from Bishop Hafey High School in 2002 after a victim in the Society of St. John case alleged he had molested him after a dinner in Monroe County. Civil authorities investigated but never charged him.
Conboy	Joseph T.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list in 10/2020. Assignments included St. Michael’s School in Hoban Heights and parishes in Hazleton, Ashley, Great Bend, Wilkes-Barre, Nicholson. Retired in 1992. Conboy died 2/4/2008.
Conmy	Anthony P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Conmy was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. In 4/08 a 49-year-old woman told the diocese that Conmy sexually assaulted her when she was age 10.
Corcoran	Francis Patrick	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the diocese on its list in 10/2020. Assigned to parishes in Tunkhannock, Shohola, West Hazleton, Weston, Luzerne, Jackson. Died 8/11/1996.
Culnane	William R.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	Retired priest of the diocese when accused in a lawsuit filed in 11/20 of sexually abusing a boy, age 7, in 1971.
Crynes	J. Peter	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Monsignor Peter G. Crynes was removed from active ministry in 2006 after four women reported abuse as teens by him. He was ordered by Vatican to live a life of prayer and penance.
Deviney	Raymond L.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	A woman said Deviney violated her when she was a teen, and that she contacted Bishop Timlin in 2001 to ask if Deviney had ever received treatment. The bishop responded that Deviney had agreed to treatment.
Dorsey	Donald J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Dorsey was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report, was sent to a hospice, and then revoked faculties in 6/64. He withdrew from the diocese in 1975.
Dzurko	John J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Dzurko was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He died 1991.
Ensey	Eric	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	Ensey and Fr. Carlos Urrutigoity were accused of sexual misconduct with a 16-year-old male student, and were suspended and later defrocked.
Farry	James F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	James E. Farry was named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He died in 1990, and in 2006 a man reported to the diocese that he was sexually abused by a priest, later identified as Farry.
Fedor	James F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Fedor was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He sought counseling for himself 1981-86 and underwent psychological evaluation and treatment in 1986-87.

Flanagan	Austin E.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Flanagan was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report, moved to St. Francis in Mildred in 9/80, and was removed from active ministry in 7/02. He denied wrongdoing.
Ferraldo	Ralph N.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Ferraldo was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He was evaluated in 1985 after an allegation of inappropriate behavior with a hospital patient, and died in 1997.

Gilgallon	Joseph P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	A 40-year-old man undergoing counseling alleged sex abuse by Gilgallon on 12/31/86. Other priests active during that time confirmed the allegation was true and occurred in the rectory.
Gormley	James Joseph	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the Scranton diocese in 10/2019, the Richmond diocese in 10/4/2019, and the Diocese of San Bernardino in 5/2021.
Griffin	Joseph A.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Griffin was first named publicly in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. A 42-year-old man reported to the diocese that Griffin sexually abused him in 1967.

A man testified that in 1961, Hammond masturbated in front of him and tried to fondle him in the rectory of St. Leo’s in Ashley. The diocesan file had no record of the allegation, and the Ashley police had no record of the report.

Homer	P. Lawrence	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Homer was accused of molesting several girls, including a 14-year-old in 1967. He was resigned in 10/93, removed from ministry 7/3/02, and died in 2015, after being sent twice for evaluation and treatment.
Houston	Joseph F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	In 6/71, a priest told the bishop that Houston was seen with a minor female in a motel room late at night. In 5/02, the victim contacted the bishop, and Houston wrote a letter of apology.
Jordan	Thomas M.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	Monsignor. Accused of abuse of a boy, ages 6-7, in 1979-80, and settled in 2020.
Kane	James J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 8/19/18. Died in 1985.
Kelly	Joseph P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	Monsignor Kelly, who retired in 2006, was accused of abusing boys at St. Michael’s School in Falls Township. He denied the allegations and was placed on leave when the allegations were received via the diocese’s Independent Survivors Compensation Program.
Kulig	Francis G.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	Kulig was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He was accused of sexually abusing his son beginning when the boy was 12 and continuing until 1985.
Jr.	Albert M. Liberatore,	Diocese of Scranton PA	Convicted	Bishop Timlin was informed by 11/96 that Liberatore had a close relationship with a young adult male, under drinking age, and in 12/02 that Liberatore was seen drunk, taking a male in his teens or early 20s into his bedroom.
Loughney	Gregory F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Guilty plea	Pastor of Most Holy Trinity in Cresco was arrested after admitting to police that he intended to meet two teenage boys for sex. He pleaded no contest to attempted indecent assault and attempted corruption of minors.

McAuliffe	James M.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	A man asked people to call if they wanted to talk about McAuliffe, and when the diocese contacted him, McAuliffe was accused of abuse of two boys, age range 11-16, and was sent for treatment in KY.
McGroarty	Hugh Harold	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the Scranton diocese on its list in 10/2020. Assigned to parishes in Sugar Notch, Wilkes-Barre, Dunmore, Fairmount Springs, Bear Creek, Carverton, White Haven, Exeter, Carbondale, Kingston, Pittston. Died 4/16/2012.
McLaughlin	Neil P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	McLaughlin was accused of raping a 7-year-old girl in 1972, while he was assigned to St. Ignatius in Kingston. He was removed from the Jesuit community in 2006 after earlier allegation became known, and was living in a monitored setting.
Meighan	Joseph F.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	First named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report, removed from ministry in 1990 after caught by a woman disrobing her 17-year-old son in the rectory parlor.
Motsay	Russell E.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Carbondale 1996-2012, removed from ministry in 4/12 after a report of past abuse of a minor youth. No prosecutions due to the statute of limitations.

Paulish	William Jeffrey	Diocese of Scranton PA	Convicted	Paulish was assigned to 16 parishes over 25 years, worked at Lourdesmont, a facility for troubled teen boys and girls in 1983, and was found in car having sex with 15-year-old boy on local college campus.
Pender	John A.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Pender was first named publicly as accused in the 8/14/18 PA Grand Jury Report. He left the diocese without permission, and was later included on a list of priests against whom there were accusation of child sex abuse.
	Pisaneschi	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Sister of the Religious Teachers Filippini, professed vows in 1953, taught in PA, NJ, NY, CT and MD, retired in 2012, and died 10/22/14.
Plaushin	Mark	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	A retired Army chaplain was placed on leave after an allegation of sexual abuse of a minor in 1985. He denied the allegation.
Polcha	Michael G.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Monsignor. Named publicly by the diocese when added to its list in 12/18. Assigned to parishes in Rock Lake, Pittston, Montdale, Blakely, Elmhurst and Swoyersville. Died in 1989.
Pulicare	Michael J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Sued	Pulicare was named publicly as accused in 12/18 and was alleged to have abused boys over seven years when they were ages 7-14.
Reiner	Julius	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese of Scranton on its list in 10/2020. Died 9/26/1973.
Rossetti	Mark T.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Rossetti was accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy, was suspended from the priesthood, and was allowed to minister in New York. He died in 2007.
Shilala	Robert N.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 8/19/18. Died in 1997.
Shoback	Edward J.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Settled	Shoback was removed from the priesthood in 2004 after admitting to sexual abuse of a minor more than 20 years prior. Multiple victims came forward in 2006, 2007, and 2009, but no criminal charges were brought against Shoback.
Shoback	Thomas P.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Convicted	The diocese was notified in 11/11 of allegations of sexual misconduct with a boy 1991-97, and in 4/13 the priest was convicted of sexual assault of an 11-year-old altar boy and sentenced to 5-10 years in state prison.

Tetherow	Virgil Bradley	Diocese of Scranton PA	Convicted	Aka Fr. Gabriel, he was a Franciscan Friar of the Renewal in Yonkers NY but left there in 1998. He founded a traditionalist church in Scranton in 2001 and was arrested in 2005 for downloading child porn.
Tomkiewicz	Dominic C.	Diocese of Scranton PA	Accused	Named publicly as accused on the diocese’s list 8/19/18 (name misspelled Tomkiewic). Died in 1967.
